Sex Addiction Treatment
Meridian Counseling Services has a team of CSAT and CSAT-C therapists who have been trained through IITAP, the nationally recognized Certification Program for Sex Addiction Therapists. We provide a comprehensive treatment program for the Addict as well as the Partner, and we help couples walk through each stage of the Restoration Process.
For Partners:
The pain of this type of betrayal can be devastating as well as isolating. When you discover that the person you loved and trusted most in the world is hiding a secret sexual life, the results are shattering. You need a safe place to heal and recover alongside others who are on the same journey of hope and can truly understand.
To this end, we offer Partners Groups that weave real life stories with practical therapeutic advice and specific tasks that gently educate, empower, and guide you through a process of recovery. We also provide individual counseling to help you work through the trauma of betrayal and guide you through a formal Couple’s Restoration Process if you chose to stay in the relationship.

For Addicts:
Sexual addiction can best be described as a progressive intimacy disorder characterized by compulsive sexual thoughts and acting out. Like all addictions, its destructive impact is profound. Because of the high level of shame that this particular addiction produces, a safe and compassionate place to heal alongside others who share the same struggle is paramount to recovery. In treatment you will begin to understand the underlying causes of your sexual addiction and learn effective strategies to intervene on your thoughts and behaviors so that you can remain free from sexual compulsivity.
Our comprehensive program will also help you break secrets, receive accountability, heal shame, and enable you to have a rich and fulfilling life. Group therapy is the most effective mode of treatment for Sex Addiction so we offer groups as well as individual therapy for you to work though your core issues and any trauma that may feed your addiction. The program will also guide you through a formal Couple’s Restoration Process if you and your Partner choose this.
