Teen Counseling

Adolescence can be a time of significant growth and self-discovery, but it can also bring intense emotions, complicated relationships, academic pressure, and questions about identity and belonging. Your teenager may be struggling with anxiety, sadness, withdrawal, conflict, or a sense that no one truly understands what they’re going through. At times, they may have difficulty making sense of their own feelings, let alone finding the words to express them. Counseling offers a safe, supportive space where they can feel heard, explore their experiences, and begin to make sense of what they’re going through without fear of judgment.

In our work together, we help young people explore the emotions, experiences, and needs beneath their reactions while finding healthier ways to express themselves and navigate challenges. Alongside building practical coping skills, we support them in developing greater self-awareness, confidence, and trust in themselves as they navigate friendships, family relationships, and the growing independence that comes with adolescence. When appropriate, we also collaborate with parents, balancing family involvement with the privacy and autonomy young people need to feel comfortable and build trust in therapy.

Our goal is to help adolescents feel more connected to themselves and others, more confident in their ability to navigate life’s challenges, and more secure in who they are as they grow.
