Alison Davis
Mental Health Counselor - MA, LMHC, CSAT, AF-EMDR, IFS
Alison Davis is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington as well as a state approved clinical supervisor. She is also a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). Additionally, she is certified in Couples Communication, and Lifespan Integration and she has completed training in Attachment Focused EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Polyvagal Informed Therapy, all which are clinically proven ways to help people resolve trauma and childhood wounds.
Since so many painful issues stem from an inability to connect in a loving way with ourselves, Alison loves to help people discover their barrier to this – which is often rooted in negative beliefs from the past. Once uncovered, she helps her clients heal so they can find true intimacy with themselves and others.
In addition to general counseling, she also has extensive experience in the field of addiction and recovery as well as codependency. In this regard, she enjoys her work with the Partners and family members of addicted individuals. In addition, Alison specializes in healing negative beliefs, trauma, PTSD, anxiety/stress, couples issues including infidelity, depression, and self-esteem.
Alison also specializes in helping people heal from mysterious illnesses such as Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Brain Fog, Electromagnetic Sensitivity, Fibromyalgia, Mold illness, and more. She also provides Christian counseling for those who want that form of help. Alison received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology.
Rick McGregor
Mental Health Counselor - MA, LMHC
Rick McGregor is a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Washington. He specializes in helping individuals work through depression and anxiety, grief and loss, self-esteem, infidelity and divorce recovery, challenges of faith, anger management, trauma and life transitions. In addition, Rick brings years of experience helping couples deepen their connection by improving their communication and finding the patterns that have created insecurity and a lack of connection.
Rick is an active and compassionate therapist. His therapeutic approach is to help clients increase their awareness and understanding of the relationship between past experiences and current behavior. He integrates complimentary experiences and techniques to offer a personalized approach tailored to each client. As a pastor for over 30 years, he has the privilege of integrating a person’s faith with the tools psychology offers. Rick received a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University.

Serge Hovaguimian
Marriage and Family Therapist - MS, LMFT
Serge Hovaguimian is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Washington. He treats individuals, couples and/or families related to a variety of issues including communication, codependency, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, lack of clarity in life direction and learning to develop healthy boundaries. Using a variety of modalities like Family Systems Theory, Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as Experiential approaches; he values openness, curiosity and collaboration with his clients to create a trusting therapeutic relationship and from there he helps clients begin to take courageous steps for long term change.
Serge is also a certified sexual addiction therapist (CSAT) and brings extensive training and experience for individuals struggling with problematic sexual behaviors with a supportive and compassionate approach. He also works with couples who have been affected by betrayal trauma/infidelity and can help couples learn to restore trust and begin healing.
Paige Stines
Marriage and Family Therapist - MA, LMFT, CSAT, AF-EMDR, IFS
Paige Stines is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Washington. She is also a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) who works with couples on healing the impact of infidelity as well as with the individuals who have experienced betrayal. Paige has also undergone advanced training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), an effective method for restoring internal integration and authenticity.
She also specializes in anxiety, grief, depression, self-esteem, trauma, behavioral issues, parenting support, and pre-marital counseling. She has been certified in Couples Communication and conflict resolution and received training from the Gottman Institute. She is also a facilitator for Prepare/Enrich which is a nationally recognized inventory and skill building program for couples.
Her approach to counseling is through a systemic lens where she uses tenets of Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Narrative, Experiential, and Structural Family Therapy. Paige specializes in working with adults, couples and families.
In her work, Paige helps clients identify the specific issues and patterns they are struggling with so they can work through these issues and begin to enjoy rich and meaningful lives. Paige’s approach is highly personalized and tailored to meet each client’s needs as she works with them to attain personal growth. She also provides Christian counseling for those who want that form of help. Paige completed her Master’s of Arts Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Trevecca Nazarene University in Tennessee.
Michelle Peadon

Michelle Peadon is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington. She is also a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) who specializes in the area of addiction and recovery, codependency, attachment wounding and couples therapy.

Alena Swanson
Marriage and Family Therapist - MS, LMFT, AF-EMDR, SPI
Alena Swanson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in working with the experiences of shame, self-esteem, trauma, childhood wounds, codependency, and relational conflict. She has undergone advanced training in sensorimotor psychotherapy (SP) and AF-EMDR to effectively work with trauma and its manifestation in the body. She is also trained in Lifespan Integration (LI) and Polyvagal Informed Therapy, both which are effective methods for healing past wounds and integrating one’s authentic sense of self.
Alena believes that the most devastating impact of trauma is the inability to authentically connect—with self and others. Alena attends to both of these domains to help clients lead richer lives – full of self-compassion, connection, curiosity and joy.
Alena is also a certified PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator for couples. She is trained to provide assessments and feedback on how to foster and enhance resilient marriages. As a couple’s therapist, Alena draws upon her training as an Emotionally Focused therapist (EFCT), based on love and attachment processes. She artfully works to help couples clarify and resolve underlying issues while simultaneously restoring connection, friendship, and intimacy. As part of this, she coaches couples on how to use effective communication and conflict resolution tools.
Alena’s other specializations include anxiety/stress, depression, trauma disorders, and self-esteem. Her treatment modalities include Humanistic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal, AF-EMDR, Mindfulness, Integrative Systemic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Experiential work. While she draws upon these approaches, Alena tailors her work with each client in a highly individualized way. Alena holds a master’s degree of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University.
Laura Dawn
Mental Health Counselor - MA, LMHCA
Laura Dawn is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of Washington. She works with relationship issues, shame, childhood wounds, anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem and anger-management.
She approaches counseling with the belief that every individual has inherent value and dignity. In her work, Laura seeks to offer her clients a safe place to unpack the difficulties of life while also offering hope for a more fulfilling future. She believes healing is relational and seeks to offer her client’s an experience of compassion and empathy as they work through healing together. Laura draws from a variety of approaches to therapy including person-centered, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
She is also trained in Polyvagal Theory, which provides a deeper understanding of the nervous system and how certain techniques can help us regulate our sense of safety and calm. She has years of experience working with young adults, teenagers, and the Deaf population and she is fluent in sign language.
Laura provides Christian counseling for those who want that form of help. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Deaf Studies from California State University Northridge and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwest University.

Rachel Robb
Mental Health Counselor - MA, LMHC, AF-EMDR
Rachel Robb is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington. She is a trauma informed therapist trained in CBT, DBT, strengths based and narrative therapies. Her work is informed by the latest in neuroscience which illuminates the hope we have that our brains and bodies can heal from hurt. Rachel implements a variety of therapeutic approaches that she integrates for each client’s specific needs and goals. However, she believes that the most important element is the therapeutic relationship between therapist and client.
When you sit with Rachel, you will sense that it is safe to unburden your heart and mind of the pain you’ve been carrying. This unburdening will often provide clarity, healing, and a sense of empowerment. Rachel has a welcoming presence, warmth, compassion, and sincerity when sitting with people. She facilitates a safe place where clients feel valued and validated when talking about life’s challenges.
Rachel has several years of experience working with school aged children, parents, adolescents, teens, and adults. She specializes in issues such as the many forms depression and anxiety take, parenting stresses, processing grief and complex grief, church hurt, spiritual abuse, navigating spiritual journeys, life transitions such as moving, becoming a parent, marriage, and job transitions. She also helps adolescents with struggles such as peer pressure, identity, and relationship conflict.

David Schooley
Counseling Intern - BA, MA & LMHC Candidate
David Schooley is a Master’s-level intern in his final year of studies with The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology. In addition to his graduate work, David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Central Washington University with a minor in family studies. As a Marine Corps veteran, he has a unique understanding of the challenges that come with being a service member, as well as those associated with transitioning to civilian life.
David has a passion for what it means for humans to be in relationship. As a relationally-focused psychodynamic psychotherapist, he helps his clients discern and transform their patterns of relating: to others and to themselves. His work also draws from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness.
David enjoys working with adults and couples. His areas of clinical focus and interest include, but are not limited to, couple’s therapy, depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, military, first responders, spiritual concerns, and existential concerns. In his work with couples, he helps with healthy communication, conflict resolution, and creating intimate connection, among other things. He works from a relational posture of curiosity, receptiveness, and humility, constantly striving to honor the dignity of each client.
About Our Internship Program
A clinical intern is someone who is in the final year of their Master’s Program and are working to gain the clinical hours needed for graduation. At Meridian Counseling, our interns receive a high level of clinical supervision so that all of their clients have experts guiding the work. Our interns are well supported and have full access to all the resources of our team. Because they are in training, we are able to offer their services at a significantly reduced rate. This can be a more affordable option for those who need this, while still providing excellent clinical care. You can find the fee for this under the “Session Information and Insurance” page.
